New store opens in skywalk

Handmade Mama, a locally manufactured infant and children's clothing store, is now open in the Holiday Center skywalk.

Located at 207 W. Superior St., Suite 236, across from Valentini's Deli, Handmade Mama will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and available by appointment. Owner Kayla Moorhead first started the business by selling on Etsy, and then sold the clothing at handmademama.net. Handmade Mama's neighbor, Valentini's Deli, reopened Monday.

Duluth Township to have farmer's market

Beginning in June, a farmer's market will be organized in Duluth Township. The Clover Valley Market will run every Tuesday evening, offering locally sourced foods, beverages, plants and art.

The Clover Valley Market is a cooperative, farmer-run nonprofit founded by Justin Osadjan, Blane Tetreault and Pam West in cooperation with the Town Board.

Products sold at the market will be at least 50% locally produced by the seller in the township or surrounding area. Items for sale are expected to include farm-fresh eggs, local produce, canned and baked goods, maple syrup and arts and crafts.

Use of plastic packaging and bags will be limited; customers are encouraged to bring their own bags or purchase mesh bags available at the market. No vendors will be permitted to resell goods. COVID-19 safety precautions will be enforced.

The Clover Valley Market will be every Tuesday from 4:30-6:30 p.m. beginning June 8 through Sept. 28 outside the Town Hall at 6092 Homestead Road in Duluth. Vendors can apply at clovervalleymarket.com. A winter market is also planned for later in the year.

Engwall Flowers celebrates new space

Engwall Flowers is holding a ribbon-cutting kickoff at its new location, 4940 Matterhorn Drive in Duluth, at 2 p.m. Thursday. The first 100 customers at the event will receive a gift. Engwall Flowers opened at the new location in March.

Coldwell Bankers acquires local affiliate

The Coldwell Banker East West Realty franchise has been acquired by Coldwell Banker Realty. The East West franchise was operating as an independent affiliate of Coldwell Banker, and will now lose the "East West" part of the business title and operate as Coldwell Banker Realty.

Coldwell Banker East West Realty has offices in Duluth and Cloquet, as well as Superior, Ashland, Spooner, Iron River and Minong, Wisconsin. Former broker-owners Greg Kamp and Dick Wenaas will now affiliate with Coldwell Banker Realty, which has 24 sales offices and about 1,930 sales professionals, according to Matt Eckess, Coldwell Banker public relations specialist.

The seven East West offices employ 60 real estate agents, who will also work under the Coldwell Banker Realty name.
