The activity at the volcano gradually increased during the past 24 hours as the Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO) noted.
A satellite image from 22 April shows a continuous dense ash plume from the summit crater. Constant ash emissions reach up to 8,000 ft (2,400 m) altitude and extending about 50 miles (80 km) to the south of the volcano.
The Aviation Color Code and Alert Level remain at "orange/watch".
