MANISTEE COUNTY — Spirit of the Woods Garden Club, Inc. is partnering with the Manistee County Library on an October Pumpkin Fest Program for youth in the county. That means there are several events coming up this month.

The club and library plan to provide small pumpkins for the young participants to decorate with flowers planted in pumpkins. The first events were held in Wellston on Oct. 5 and was followed by events in Manistee on Oct. 9 and in Kaleva on Oct. 12.

The remaining events in the program are at the following Manistee County Library branches:

• Bear Lake from 5:30-6:15 p.m. on Oct. 14;

• Arcadia from 5:30-6:15 p.m. on Oct. 21; and

• Onekama from 5:30-6:15 p.m. on Oct. 27.
