Brewers fans made sure to give Willson Contreras their regards on Tuesday night.

The Milwaukee faithful booed the Cubs catcher throughout Tuesday's game. But the loudest of those boos came as he stepped up to the plate in the eighth inning, the North Siders trailing 2-1.

Contreras got the last laugh, blasting a go-ahead two-run home run 438 feet to give his club a 3-2 lead, the game's final score.

As he rounded the bases, Contreras had one finger over his mouth, shushing the Milwaukee crowd.

"It feels good to shut them up," Contreras said after the game of his shush. "When they boo me, I don't really care. But don't get sensitive when I do something like that."

Contreras has been at the center of a few intense moments in recent Cubs-Brewers games. Both benches and bullpens cleared last Tuesday after he got hit by a pitch, one day after a pitch hit him in the head against Milwaukee.

Contreras, who's been hit seven times in his last 14 games against the Brewers, expressed his frustration to all the hit by pitches on Sunday.

Tuesday, he expressed himself in a big moment.

"That was a message sent," he said of the shush.
