In a season filled with lows, the Texans suffered another humiliation Sunday.

The Texans were shut out at home for the first time since a playoff loss to the Chiefs in the 2015 season as the Colts dominated the Texans 31-0 at NRG Stadium. It was the first time in franchise history the Texans have been shut out in a regular season game at home and the Colts' first shutout on the road since 1992. The Texans also were shut out earlier this season, when they lost 40-0 at Buffalo in the most lopsided loss in franchise history.

It was the fifth time this season the Texans (2-10) didn't manage to score a touchdown. The Texans are the first team since 2006 to be held to five points or fewer four times in a single season, according to ESPN Stats.

"They completely outplayed us," Texans coach David Culley said. "That's a good football team. We got outcoached and outplayed."

The Texans offense was putrid, totaling just 141 total yards. Tyrod Taylor, who completed 5-of-13 passes for 45 yards and an interception, was benched in favor of rookie Davis Mills late in the third quarter. Mills didn't do much better, although he didn't turn the ball over. The third-round pick completed 8-of-14 passes for 49 yards.

Culley said Taylor hyperextended his wrist and could have probably kept playing if the team needed him. Culley was noncommittal about who would be his starting quarterback going forward.

"When you don’t score any points in a game, you evaluate everything, and we're going to evaluate everything,” Culley said.

Taylor started off the game by throwing an interception on the first play, getting picked off by Kenny Moore II. It took just six plays for Jonathan Taylor to cash in six plays later with a one-yard run for a 7-0 lead

The Colts (7-6) added a touchdown right before halftime with Ashton Dulin hauling in a two-yard touchdown pass for Carson Wentz.

Things didn't get any better in the second half with Taylor, who rushed for 143 yards, adding a touchdown in the third quarter.
