The Rams lost five starters to the COVID-19 list in Week 14 and they may not be out of the woods yet. After facing (and beating) the Cardinals without Jalen Ramsey, Tyler Higbee, Darrell Henderson Jr., Rob Havenstein and Dont’e Deayon on Monday night, Sean McVay expects even more complications this week.

He told reporters Tuesday that “there’s going to be more people that are affected by this,” and revealed that the Rams have closed their facility and will be working remotely the next two days. They have entered the league’s intensive protocols due to the outbreak that has impacted the team in the last five days.

This is unfortunate news for the Rams, who just earned their biggest win of the season and now have to face the Seahawks in Week 15 – just five days from now. Vaccinated players are able to be activated off the list after returning two negative tests at least 24 hours apart, but they can remain out for up to 10 days.

It’s unclear when the five players currently on COVID-19 reserve will return, but it sounds like more players are going to be added to the list in the coming days, too.

As of Tuesday, the Rams and Browns are both in the league’s intensive protocols due to COVID-19 outbreaks after Cleveland added eight players to the reserve list Tuesday. The Rams could unfortunately be headed for a similar situation after Odell Beckham Jr. tested positive Tuesday.
