According to reports, the 69th Street Transportation Center in Upper Darby is shut down this morning after a man opened fire on police near the terminal.
The suspect is in custody.
Police said the situation started when they heard gunshots near the 6900 block of Market Street at about 3:50 a.m. Thursday. Officers also saw a man waving a gun.
Police also said they believe the man may be involved in another shooting further up West Chester Pike.
Please be advised due to police activity in the area of 69th and Market Streets the area will be closed. Please expect delays. We will let everyone know when the area is open.

The north and south terminals of the station were closed to pedestrians while police investigate. There may be some changes to bus routes, too.
