Several roads shut down for hours following deadly east Charlotte crash - WSOC Charlotte

CHARLOTTE — Several roads were shut down for hours overnight because of a deadly crash late Sunday in east Charlotte.

East Independence Boulevard near Conference Drive and Idlewild Road were closed for about five hours, finally reopening around 3 a.m.

Channel 9 crews could see two vehicles, a car and a pickup truck, which suffered heavy front-end damage.

Police have not released any details about the wreck.
