Seattle was held to just three hits on the day but able to scratch the only run needed in the 6th inning…

Seattle improved to 10-games over .500 with the win at 72-and-62 and trails Houston by 6-and-a-half games in the American League West standings. The M’s are off until Friday when they’ll travel to Arizona to take on the Diamondbacks at 6:40.
Elsewhere in the A-L West yesterday, Colorado topped Texas 9-5. The Yankees beat the Angels 4-1. Detroit edged Oakland 8-6.
And in the Wild Card race, Toronto beat Baltimore 5-4 while Boston came from behind to beat Tampa Bay 3-2. The Yankees are still two clear of Boston while the Red Sox lead over Oakland is two games and 3-and-a-half over the Mariners.

Coming up tomorrow, Entiat hosts St. John Endicott at 3:30. Waterville-Mansfield travels to Pomeroy at 6. Manson hosts Cle Elum-Roslyn and Lake Roosevelt plays at Chewelah. Oroville begins its season at home Saturday afternoon against Onalaska.
