Ouch.

On Friday night from Don Miller Field the Alma High School football team had its record evened at 2-2 via a 41-0 blowout loss to Birch Run.

Birch Run (2-2, 1-2 TVC) running back Kahleel Brown rushed it 42 times for 324 yards and three touchdowns to lead his team to the victory.

Alma (2-2, 1-2) turned it over four times on the night and struggled to move the ball for the most part.

Birch Run quarterback Jacen Torres hit Cos Davis with a 15-yard TD pass with 5:07 left in the first to give his team a 7-0 lead. Torres added in a four-yard TD run in the second while Brown pushed the lead to 20-0 by the half with a three-yard score.

Brown added in rushing scores from 17 and one yard out while Davis caught a 23-yard TD pass from Torres in the fourth.

Alma quarterback Sam Rosales completed 6-of-19 passes for 68 yards, but was intercepted twice.

Carlos Martinez-Medina added in 21-yards rushing on nine carries.

Dom Albaugh had two catches for 25 yards also.

Alma returns to action at Swan Valley next week.

Harrison 46, Pinconning 0

PINCONNING – Harrison’s offense had a night as did its defense.

As it was the Hornets amassed 441 yards of offense (310 rushing, 131 passing) and held host Pinconning to three-yards of offense en route to a 41-0 shutout road win Friday.

With the win Harrison improves to 3-1 overall and to 2-1 in Jack Pine Conference play. Pinconning is now 1-3 overall and 1-2 in the JPC.

Quarterback Haydin Sims was 3-for-3 passing for 132 yards and two scores. He hit Logan Ashcroft with all three passes, including both TDs.

Caleb Hoskey led the rushing attack with 103 yards and one score on seven carries while Connor Kirby carried it eight times for 48 yards and two scores. Jackson Collins also had 53 yards and one TD on seven carries.

Reed City 54, Chippewa Hills 7

REED CITY – The Chippewa Hills High School football team fell to 0-4 on the season on the road Friday, falling to defending conference champion Reed City by a final of 58-7.

Logan Davis scored the lone TD for the Warriors (0-4, 0-3) on an eight-yard TD run.

Austin Humphrey led the offense with 77-yards rushing while Davis had 54.
