Interstate 70 was shut down in both directions Tuesday night due to a flash flood warning in Glenwood Canyon.

The Colorado Department of Transportation announced the closure around 8:40 p.m. CDOT does not know when the interstate will reopen.

The closure is between Exit 87 in Rifle and Exit 133 in Dotsero.

Earlier in the evening, a power outage briefly closed I-70 in both directions at the Eisenhower Tunnel.

The closure occurred around 7 p.m., according to CDOT. By 7:20 p.m., the interstate was reopened.

Also, I-70 eastbound was closed for about 30 minutes Tuesday afternoon due to a crash just east of the Eisenhower Tunnel.

The Colorado Department of Transportation announced that closure at 3:02 p.m. and announced the road had reopened at 3:30 p.m.
