I-71 shut down near SR-72 in Greene Co. after semi truck crash - WHIO

GREENE COUNTY — Two people have been taken to the hospital after a crash involving two semi-trucks happened on Interstate 71 near state Route 72 in Greene County early Wednesday morning.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol tells us both drivers were taken to Adena Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Interstate 71 was shut down from state Route 72 to state Route 435 for around three hours, according to OSHP, and has since reopened.

Crews were called to a reported semi-truck crash on I-71 around 3:14 a.m. Wednesday, according to dispatch.

The Wilmington post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol tells us they are handling this crash.

Further information has not been made available at this time.
