Anger in the stands at the opening game of the World Cup 2022 between Ecuador and hosts Qatar. An Ecuador fan who was celebrating his side’s goals was told angrily to “sit down and shut up” by a local fan. The Ecuadorian fan reacted by telling the Qatar supporters to “relax”.
The video has gone viral on social media with hundreds of thousands of views since the game finished.
The happy news is that later on in the match the pair of fans were seen having made peace, and were filmed sitting next to each other, now friends.
