Traffic on Loveland Pass has been shut down Saturday afternoon by safety concerns over strong winds and blowing snow.
US 6 Loveland Pass will remain throughout the day closed due to high winds and blowing snow. Pass scheduled to be re-evaluated at 5pm.

The Colorado Department of Transportation announced the closure of U.S. Highway 6 over the pass on Twitter at 10:28 a.m.
Weather conditions on the pass, which climbs to an elevation of 11,991 feet, include patchy, blowing snow and winds gusting to 31 mph, according to the National Weather Service. At about 12:30 p.m. Saturday the temperature was 25 degrees and the humidity 80%.
Winds are expected to calm down late in the afternoon and reopening of the pass will be re-evaluated at 5 p.m., CDOT said.
