There were far fewer calls in the past few years, so it is evident Grand Forks truly has had more suspicious activity in this past 2020 year. Because of these numerous calls and location checks, police have set out to investigate more on their patrol shifts.
I feel that if this suspicious activity continues to concern many Grand Forks citizens, the community will become unsafe for many residents and their families. These reports need to get under control and the community needs to find a way to become safe again.
A reason why there have been so many reports this year might be because of the pandemic. COVID-19 has affected many in the community in multiple ways. Some may turn to other things they normally wouldn’t do, because the pandemic is causing them to do so.
These suspicious activities need to get under control before Grand Forks County becomes unsafe for individuals and their families. Once the pandemic is under control, the activities reported should be less, in my opinion.
