RALEIGH – The North Carolina Trump Victory campaign, the combined field operation of President Donald Trump’s re-election team and the Republican National Committee, has made of 4 million voter contacts in the state – making one million in just the past three weeks.
The voter contacts include phone calls and door-to-door canvassing in the state even as the campaign shifted to mostly virtual activities during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Trump Victory team, which includes over 120 staff in the state, have conducted over 1,700 training sessions and held over 1,000 “MAGA Meetups” in the state.
A recent report from Politico highlights the two strategies Republicans and Democrats are using – Republican campaigns are sending volunteers into the field, resuming door-to-door activity, while Democrats continue to campaign virtually via phone calls and Zoom meet ups.
In less than one month, general election votes will start being cast statewide. The N.C. State Board of Elections will start sending absentee ballots to voters who have requested them the week of September 4. Voters can request absentee ballots until Oct. 27.
“As Joe Biden hides from voters in his basement, Trump Victory is working around the clock to re-elect President Trump and Republicans up and down the ballot. This 4 million voter contact milestone is a testament to Trump Victory’s relentless efforts in North Carolina, and we look forward to keeping the Tar Heel State red this November,” said Trump Victory spokesperson Gates McGavick.
