Suwanose-jima (Ryukyu Islands): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) issued the following report: EXPLODED AT 20210308/1647Z OVER FL050 EXTD W OBS VA DTG:08/1640Z

Pinatubo (Luzon Island): (8 Mar) Since its alert level increase from 0 to 1 last 4 March 2021, Pinatubo Volcano had only experienced about 1 to 9 daily volcanic quakes. According to the latest volcano bulletin issued by PHIVOLCS today, 8 March 2021, there has been an increase in number of volcanic quakes recorded. In the last 24 hours, a total of 35 quakes were recorded. However, these quakes may be related to “tectonic processes beneath its edifice, and that no imminent eruption is foreseen”.
Nevertheless, PHIVOLCS reiterated that communities surrounding Pinatubo should be prepared for both earthquake and volcanic hazards. Entry into the Pinatubo Crater should be done with extreme caution, and avoided if possible.

Kilauea (Hawai'i): The effusive eruption of the volcano continues and no significant change in activity has occurred since the last update.
The western portion of the lava lake in Halema‘uma‘u crater remains active and is supplied by the lava flow from the western fissure of the spatter cone. A small incandescent opening at the top of the west vent spatter cone is visible in the attached image.

Veniaminof (Alaska Peninsula, USA): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Anchorage warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 11000 ft (3400 m) altitude or flight level 110 and is moving at 50 kts in N direction.

Low-level eruptive activity continues at the volcano.
A few occasional small explosions was detected by Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Anchorage over the past days as an ash plumes rose to an altitude of 11,000 ft (3,400 m) and drifted N-NE direction. According to Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO), the height of a gas-steam and ash plume was estimated to about 15,000 ft (4,500 m) altitude observed in satellite data from the last night. The explosions were heard and felt by residents in Perryville. The plume continues to dissipate rapidly and the ash is mostly confined to the summit caldera near the vent.

On 5 March CENAPRED in collaboration with UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México) did a flight observation to measure a dimensions of the summit crater. The measurements revealed a diameter of 360 to 390 meters and an approx. depth of 150 to 180 meters fully covered by tephra deposits. In addition, no lava dome is occurring in the inner summit crater.
Vulcanian activity continues from the summit crater accompanied by near-constant emissions of water vapour and ash that rose to estimated 6 km altitude.
