Jon Gray pitched a five-hitter as the Rockies shut out the Padres, 5-0, on Sunday at Coors Field to complete the series sweep.

Gray struck out eight and added a two-run double en route to his league-leading 12th win of the season.

The Rockies (52-25) increase their National League West lead over the Dodgers (44-35) to nine games. Colorado begins a three-game series against Kansas City on Monday. Antonio Senzatela (6-2) will take the mound against Royals’ Mike Montgomery (4-6).
