Courtesy 511Police acvitity temporarily blocked all northbound lanes of Interstate 880 in Oakland on Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
California Highway Patrol officials said all traffic was diverted off the highway to I-980 at 3:13 p.m. Shortly before 5:15 p.m. authorities said all lanes were reopened but warned motorists that there would be residual delays. The agency would not comment on what the police activity was.
The East Bay Times reported that a child was injured in a shooting on the freeway and struck by a stray bullet.
