JOPLIN, Mo. – There’s a lot of cool stuff for 4-Staters to do in Joplin’s Mercy Park, and it’s designed around pandemic-safety.
The Joplin Parks and Rec. Department’s newest holiday tradition, the 2020 Holiday Tree Trail is now open for folks to take a walk on. It’s filled with multiple decorated Christmas trees put that have been designed and installed by various 4-State businesses and organizations.
The Parks and Rec. Department says it’s a fun activity that families can tour while staying 6-feet apart from other groups
And while you’re touring the Holiday Tree Trail, you may as well get some steps in!
The Joplin Parks and Rec. Department has also partnered with Mercy Hospital to host a month-long challenge called the “Rock and Stroll.”
The idea is to register with the Parks and Rec. Department, record five physical activities in the park, and submit your activity tracker by December 31st. Doing that will get you a coo tee shirt.
