Popular Japanese boy band Arashi will live stream a concert on New Year's Eve ahead of their planned suspension of activities at the end of 2020, the group said on their official fan club site Thursday.
The streaming start time and other details of the concert, which will be held without a live audience, will be announced at a later date, according to the website.
The five-member band -- comprised of Jun Matsumoto, Satoshi Ono, Sho Sakurai, Masaki Aiba and Kazunari Ninomiya -- on Nov. 3 streamed a paid online concert, prerecorded without fans, at the National Stadium in Tokyo, the main venue for next summer's rescheduled Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.
The group, which debuted in 1999 under the management of Johnny & Associates Inc., one of Japan's major entertainment agencies, has become a household name not only for their music -- with many of their singles having topped weekly music rankings in the country -- but also for their stints in dramas, movies and variety shows.
Arashi announced in January 2019 that they planned to suspend their activities at the end of 2020.
