LANCASTER, Ky. (WKYT) - Traffic is moving again, but both lanes of Highway 27 in Lancaster were shut down for several hours after a police chase ended in a crash.
The Lancaster Police Chief says the Stanford Police Department was chasing a car. That car hit a vehicle pulling out onto a Stanford road near the Five Star Mart.
One woman who says she was at her storage garage nearby heard the crash happen. She didn’t want to go on camera, but sent us video that she took of the scene on her phone showing police detaining someone on the ground before cuffing them and walking out of the shot.
We do know one person was taken to the hospital. Officials on scene say there were multiple injuries and we saw at least four cars involved in the crash.
We’re working to learn more about what led to the chase and the people involved.
We’ll update you as soon as any new information is available.
