Marlee Pontello and Sarah Petrus each scored a goal to lead the West Genesee girls soccer team to a 2-0 over Liverpool in a SCAC Metro division contest.

Wildcats goalie Cameron Rosenthal registered three saves as the West Genesee defense recorded its second straight shutout. Rosenthal had recorded 14 saves on Monday in the Wildcats 0-0 tie with C-NS

East Syracuse Minoa 7, Oswego 0

Sara Stark scored two goals and five other Spartans added one goal each as undefeated East Syracuse Minoa won its fifth straight game. Spartans goalie Isabelle Chavoustie recorded two saves as the ESM defense chalked up is fifth shutout of the year.

Westhill 7, Pulaski 0

Lily Kinsella scored two goals and five other Warriors scored one goal apiece as undefeated Westhill registered its sixth consecutive victory. Westhill goalies Makenna Robbins and Kate Bendall did not yield a goal and the Warriors defense has given up just two goals this season.

Poland 4, Frankfort-Schuyler 0

Alex Bates netted two goals as the Class D defending state champs won their fifth straight game of the year. The goalie tandem of Jessica Batson and Chloe Roark made two saves apiece in the shutout. The Tornadoes defense has given up just four goals all season.

Boys Soccer

Liverpool 1, West Genesee 0

Jaiden Reynolds scored the game’s only goal as the Warriors blanked host West Genesee. Reynolds was assisted by Edis Omerovic. Goalie Evan Buda and the Liverpool defense made its second shutout of the season as the Warriors evened their season record at 3-3.

Baldwinsville, 2, Cicero-North Syracuse 1

Evan Smith and Chase Hornsey each scored a goal as the Bees won their fourth game of the season. Owen Tracy came up with five saves in the win. William Darko Jr. scored the lone goal for the Northstars.

Field Hockey

Clinton 7, Herkimer 1

The one-two scoring duo of Gianna Trunfio and Jenna Deep scored three goals apiece as the Warriors won their fifth straight game of the season. Trunfio now has ten goals on the season and Deep has six. Goalie Sydney Labayewski made three saves and the Clinton defense had given up just two goals this year.

Holland Patent 9, Mount Markham 0

Hannah Corrigan scored three goals and two assists and Margaret Cummings had two goals and two assists as the defending Class B sectional champs won their third straight game of the season. The potent Holland Patent offense has scored 27 goals in its first three games. Goalie Lyla Cushman and the Golden Knights defense has given up just two goals this season.

Gymnastics

Central Square 120.2. ESM/Liverpool 104.15

The Redhawks Sage Wolfe compiled a 33.9 all around score to help lead Central Square to the win. Wolfe won all four events. Wolfe won the vault and uneven bars each with a 8.1 score, the balance beam with a 9.0 and floor exercise with a 8.7.

Teammate Lizzy Zacholl was second in the all around with a score of 29.4 and ESM/Liverpool gymnast Jordan Fournier took third with a score of 28.4.
