The dark theme has now become a staple for first-party Google and third-party apps. Although the dark theme is not much popular when it comes to websites, Google has now introduced the dark theme for the My Activity page on mobile and desktop.
Several people, including myself, prefer keeping their Android devices in dark mode or dark theme almost throughout the day. Well, it makes using the apps more pleasing to the eyes, and also the apps look good on today's sharp mobile displays.
Google also has pushed the dark theme for almost all of its apps. However, it seems like it has shifted its attention over to websites now by pushing the dark theme for the My Activity page on mobile and desktop.
Notably, the dark theme is already available for Google News, Chrome OS, now, as per 9to5Google, users can also use the Google My Activity page in dark theme. As already said, the dark theme makes it easier to look for longer periods without burning the eyes.
While many of you might not be familiar with the My Activity page, it lets you see all the activities that will help Google to make services more useful for the user. In other words, based on your activities, targeted ads will be displayed across all Google apps.
My Activity page dark theme gets applied by default on Android, iOS, and desktop
If you are a regular visitor at the My Activity page, you will notice that the page will immediately shift over to the dark theme from the light theme.
My Activity is a place where you will find all of your activities across various Google services you are using. Even your voice searches are recorded, which you can view or delete to personalize Google services.
Upon opening the Google My Activity page, you will see all of your activities listed and somewhat mitigated by date/product filters. Moreover, you can also use the "Search your activity" bar to search for specific activities.
Besides, tapping on an entry drops down a new section and shows you even more details about that activity. Right at the top of the page, you will see three options listed, which you can turn On/Off.
These options are Web & App Activity, Location, and YouTube History. Since the page is pretty long and you need to spend a good amount of time to get rid of unwanted activities, the dark theme is a welcome move by Google.
The dark theme on the Google My Activity page gets applied by default. In fact, it follows your system settings applied on your Android, iOS, and desktop device.
